MONTE SERENO LINKS

MONTE SERENO OVERVIEW

Monte Sereno is a master-planned residential resort community located within the prestigious northwest city limits of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Monte Sereno is considered one of the most desirable locations within Santa Fe for a myriad of reasons, the most significant include: proximity to the historic Santa Fe Plaza and world famous Santa Fe Opera, unsurpassed views in every direction and mature piñon and juniper trees offering exceptional privacy.

As the most northern point of the City of Santa Fe, Monte Sereno enjoys a full complement of desirable infrastructure, with city water and sewer, natural gas, cable TV and high-speed internet, buried telephone with DSL, paved roads, curb and gutter, and buried electrical with transformers.

The community sits on approximately 600 acres of land and is entitled for 275 residential home sites (averaging 1.7 acres), 55 smaller cluster sites, and a 36-acre parcel zoned Planned Resort – Residential Community (PRRC) which could accommodate up to a 250 room hotel/spa.

Breathtaking views

No property in Santa Fe is as well endowed with the full accompaniment of the views that set Santa Fe off from any other city in the U.S.

Starting with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east, Monte Sereno has stadium seating for what locals call “The Sangre’s” – which turn red at sunset as their palette catches the fading sun.

To the north is the vast area called “The Badlands” which stretch all the way to the New Mexico/Colorado border, and feature numerous landmarks like the Black Mesa on the Santa Clara Reservation, the lights of Española at night, and the vast stretch of land that encompasses all of Northern New Mexico – including views to the Colorado border.

To the west are the Jemez Mountains, which display both a depth and a breadth illuminated nightly by New Mexico’s spectacular sunsets – and the small canyons and pathways that lead to Los Alamos.

Lastly, to the south the Ortiz and Sandia mountains are glimpsed by a few of the home sites, as well as the night lights of Santa Fe.

A Place to Call Home

Each estate lot is situated to maximize open space, utilizing the property’s unique terrain, and accesses public and private walking trails. Design guidelines and enforceable CC&R’s have resulted in an intelligent streetscape, framed by the Developer’s investment into re-vegetation that creates common area landscaping beyond anything else in Santa Fe.

Every year during the Parade of Homes, thousands of people flock to Monte Sereno  to see the latest offerings from Santa Fe’s premier builders. Breathtaking views of the revered Sangre de Cristo Mountains, like those available at Monte Sereno, have become difficult to find within the Santa Fe city limits. And in 2016 a home on the Aspen View street built by Solterra Construction was awarded the coveted Grand Hacienda Award as the outstanding home in the Santa Fe Builders Association Parade of Homes – the second such award for a home in the subdivision

Monte Sereno’s thoughtful covenants and design guidelines have contributed to its maturity into a premier residential community. Monte Sereno has evolved from a development to a vibrant neighborhood with an active social infrastructure that allows an increasing number of families to call Monte Sereno home.
